Plan a longer Santa Teresa stay with an Israeli family: schooling, Chabad, food, transport, Hebrew support, and the arrangements to confirm before renting.

For an Israeli family staying beyond a holiday, the key decision is the daily route between home, school and food. A house near the beach may be convenient for surfing but awkward for a school commute or a walk to Chabad. Confirm those routines before paying for a long rental.

School Before House

Futuro Verde's current admissions page covers the 2026-2027 academic year. It is on the Cobano-Montezuma road and uses an August-June calendar. Its application process includes a non-refundable $100 processing payment and age-appropriate assessment or interviews. Paying the application fee does not establish admission or a short-term place.

Ask admissions about your children's ages, current curriculum, language support, minimum enrollment period and the dates you actually want. A month-long visitor should not assume the school operates as a drop-in camp. For preschool or alternative learning options, verify the particular operator's present program and status before making a housing decision.

Jewish Community and Food

Chabad provides a visitor contact, registered Shabbat and holiday meals and prepared-food arrangements. Ask directly about Hebrew-speaking community resources and any educational program currently running for your children's ages. A traveler service does not establish a school place.

If you need to walk on Shabbat, locate the house across from Banana Beach and assess the route from the rental entrance. Chabad's FAQ says there is no eruv and no active mikvah. For a kosher kitchen or catered family meals, settle the practical arrangements before the first supermarket trip.

Build an Everyday Budget

Compare rent together with transport, school charges, childcare, food, utilities and activity costs. Ask whether electricity, internet and cleaning are included. For childcare, providers such as Santa Sitters advertise local services, but availability, language and caregiver qualifications need direct discussion. Do not assume a Hebrew-speaking caregiver is available.

Try the school route in realistic conditions, establish a rain-day transport alternative and check the property's water and power backup. A beautiful rental does not compensate for a daily routine that does not work for the family.

FAQ

Is there guaranteed Hebrew schooling?

No verified guarantee is made here. Ask Chabad and each education provider about its current program, language and admissions requirements.

Can children join school for a single month?

Ask the school directly. Formal admissions information does not imply short-term enrollment or holiday childcare.

Should we rent near Chabad or school?

Map both routes against your family's priorities. School travel and Shabbat walking are different requirements and may favor different locations.

Should I book school places before arriving for a month?

Contact the school about eligibility, assessment, calendar and actual availability. A family stay or application does not guarantee a short-term place.
