Arrange kosher food for a Santa Teresa villa: Chabad orders, Pesach groceries, refrigeration, supervision, and the questions to settle before arrival.

For a kosher stay in a Santa Teresa villa, plan the food supply and the kitchen before choosing a shopping list. A villa can have excellent cookware and still require arrangements specific to your kashrut practice. Chabad advertises prepared kosher food and Shabbat food to go, so start there rather than asking a general private chef to improvise certification.
Choose a Food Arrangement
The simplest options are supervised prepared meals, a combination of supervised restaurant dining and packaged groceries, or a kitchen arrangement approved for your circumstances. Ask Chabad which options it can supply for your exact dates and group size. A holiday order may use a different reservation process from ordinary weekday catering.
For each order, confirm the supervision, meat or dairy status, portions, price, packaging, collection time and whether delivery is actually available to your property. Get an address pin to the driver if delivery is offered. A steep lane or gated entrance can change the handover.
Provisioning and Cold Storage
Check that the villa has a working refrigerator and freezer with enough space for your order. Ask how the property handles power or water interruptions. Keep perishable food cold on the journey from San Jose or Cobano, and avoid leaving an arrival-day order in a hot car while sightseeing.
Ordinary supermarket products need to be checked individually for the standards you keep. A vegetarian label is not a hechsher. Fresh fish also needs identification and preparation arrangements appropriate to your practice; send those questions to Chabad or your advisor.
Pesach Is a Separate Plan
Chabad's Pesach page says kosher-for-Pesach groceries are not sold in Santa Teresa and directs visitors to Super Kosher & Deli in San Jose. It also advertises matza and kosher wine. Ask the supplier about delivery and order deadlines. Do not assume that an ordinary kosher product or an ingredient available locally is suitable for Pesach.
Before You Book the Villa
Ask for kitchen photographs, appliance details and the food handover plan. Tell the manager what equipment or cleaning arrangements you need, then confirm them with the responsible religious authority. If attending services, check the actual walk to Chabad and remember its FAQ says Santa Teresa has no eruv.
FAQ
Can a private chef make a certified kosher dinner?
Only if the necessary supervision and kitchen arrangements are genuinely in place. A chef's willingness to cook vegetarian food does not establish certification.
Is delivery guaranteed?
No. Confirm the operator, date, property location, delivery fee and refrigeration arrangements before ordering.
Can I use the same plan for Passover?
Pesach needs its own ingredient, kitchen and booking arrangements. Follow the current Pesach information rather than the weekday shopping plan.
What should I send when requesting a catering quote?
Give the dates, group size, meal quantities, kitchen setup and kashrut requirements. Ask for the complete price, packaging and collection or delivery arrangement.
