Jungle Parties in Santa Teresa (2026): Who Runs Them, Ticket Prices and How to Get Home

Who actually runs the jungle and off-road parties around Santa Teresa in 2026, what tickets cost ($22 to $77), how to find the secret locations, and how to get home safely.

A jungle party in Santa Teresa in 2026 is a ticketed, open-air electronic night in the hills, run by a small number of promoters, with the location kept secret until a day or two before. The two names you will see on posters are Jungle Productions and Wonderland. Tickets on the local platform Starticket ran from $28 to $55.50 for general entry in early 2026, doors open around 11pm, and the night runs until roughly 5 or 6am.

I want to be plain about what is public. These events are not listed on a venue website, the exact address is sent to ticket holders, and the promoters announce on Instagram and WhatsApp a week or two ahead. So this guide tells you who to follow, what the last published prices were, and how to make the night safe. It does not give you a map pin, because nobody outside the promoters has a stable one.

The short version

  • Jungle Productions is the most visible promoter. It sells on Starticket, runs full moon and holiday nights at secret locations, and also books the New Year's Eve party at Ranchos Itaúna.
  • Wonderland (@333wonderland333) is the second crew, with a WhatsApp community for tickets. It produced the 2025 New Year's Eve party at Banana Beach.
  • Prices: $22.50 to $39 early, $55.50 on the day, $77.50 for a backstage VIP entry, plus a cheaper rate for Costa Rican ID holders.
  • Start: doors around 11pm, peak between 1am and 4am.
  • Getting home is the part to plan before you buy. Book a taxi or a ride with the group, and never drive or ride a quad after drinking on these roads.
  • If you only want a weekly dance night, the better plan is Deep Tuesday (a day and sunset beach party) and Saturday SoundLab at Ranchos Itaúna, which need no secret address.

What "jungle party" means here

The phrase has drifted. Older guides use it for any word-of-mouth party off the main road, and the full moon parties guide describes them that way. In 2026 it mostly refers to productions with a name, a lineup, a ticket link and a hidden venue, usually a private property in the hills about 45 minutes from town (that figure comes from Jungle Productions' own January full moon listing).

The music is house, techno and tribal or melodic sets, with guest DJs flown in for the big dates. The crowd is mixed: surf-camp groups, long-stay nomads, and a good number of Costa Ricans who drive in for the night. Do not expect a festival field. A typical one is a single stage in a clearing, a bar, a small VIP area and a few hundred people.

Jungle Productions

Jungle Productions describes itself on Instagram (@jungleproductions.cr, about 5,000 followers) as based in Santa Teresa, and its events are sold through its Starticket organiser page. The events the platform shows from the 2025/26 season give a good picture of the cadence:

  • 19 December: a Friday night at a secret location
  • 27 December: "New Years Simulation", secret location
  • 31 December: New Year's Eve at Ranchos Itaúna
  • 10 January: "Hide Out", secret location
  • 17 January: Lit Reggae Night, a reggae night in town
  • 31 January: Blue Blood Full Moon, a jungle location 45 minutes from town, doors 11pm, running to 6am
  • 14 February: Valentines In, secret location, 11pm to 5am
  • 3 April: Good Friday night in town

That is roughly two to four events a month in the dry season. As I write this on 9 October 2026, the organiser page shows no upcoming dates, which is normal for the shoulder months. The promoter's Instagram still posted a Santa Teresa jungle party photo on 11 September, so it is active, just quiet. Expect the first announcements for December and New Year's in November.

Prices from the January and February 2026 listings, in US dollars as shown on Starticket (the .50 endings suggest the booking fee is built in):

TicketFull moon, 31 JanValentines In, 14 Feb
First early tier$28.00$33.50 (Friday promo)
Second early tier$39.00$39.00
Day of the event$55.50$55.50
Costa Rican ID$22.50not offered
VIP backstage entry$77.50$77.50
VIP table (up to 7)$770.50$128.84 with backstage access

The early tiers sold out on both nights, so the cheap price is the one you have to chase. Contact on the full moon listing was +506 6379 2716. Who it suits: dancers who care about the lineup and want a real sound system. The caveat: a $55 gate plus a long ride is a serious evening, and the "secret location" label means you cannot judge the venue in advance.

Wonderland

Wonderland (@333wonderland333, about 5,200 followers) describes itself as a home for music events and community, with a WhatsApp community link in the bio for tickets and announcements. A local guide calls it the underground jungle crew, with rotating hill locations announced about a week or two out and events roughly monthly in the dry season. A Wonderland listing on the ticketing site Get In sold the Banana Beach New Year's Eve party for the turn of 2025 to 2026, headlined by the producer Darco, 10pm until sunrise, 18 and over.

The public profile shows its latest dated posts from December 2025 and none from 2026, and no ticket prices are posted in the bio. A Wonderland event in the 2026 low season is unconfirmed. Treat it as a crew to follow for the December to April window and confirm that it is still active before you plan around it.

Venue-hosted versions

Several venues put on the same kind of night without the hidden address, and these are easier to get to and back from.

  • Ranchos Itaúna (listing) runs Deep Tuesday and Saturday SoundLab as its two weekly music events per its own website, and its New Year's Eve party has run for more than 20 years. The 2025 edition sold at $44.50 early bird and $55.50 general through Jungle Productions. Phone +506 2640-0095.
  • Banana Beach (listing) has held the town's biggest New Year's Eve beach party for over two decades, with a dinner first and the party from 10pm. Dinner reservations +506 6103 4388.
  • La Pasión hosted some of Jungle Productions' town nights earlier in 2026, but it went quiet after April and Google lists it as permanently closed, so check @clublapasion before planning around it.
  • Tikiliano (listing) is the free-entry alternative for late dancing most weekends.

How people find out

  1. Instagram: follow @jungleproductions.cr and @333wonderland333 and turn on post notifications. Dates drop one to two weeks out.
  2. Starticket: the Jungle Productions organiser page is at starticket.cr/en/o/188/jungle-productions. Buy there and ignore tickets offered in a stranger's message.
  3. WhatsApp: Wonderland runs a community linked in its Instagram bio.
  4. Your hostel or surf camp: staff at places like Somos and the surf camps usually know which Saturday is on and who is driving a van.

Be careful with copycat flyers. A flyer with a weekday but no calendar date and year, a payment request to a personal account, or a venue that is tagged but never mentions the event are all reasons to skip it.

Getting there and back

This is the weak spot. The secret location means public transport does not exist for these nights, and there is no Uber or Bolt in Santa Teresa. The Starticket listings I read mentioned no shuttle, so ask the contact number or Instagram DM whether a pickup is offered before you buy.

  • Taxi: a ride inside town runs about $10 to $15, and a ride to a hill property will cost more. Pantera Taxi lists WhatsApp +506 8591 9555. Book the return before you leave, because a driver who does not know the track will not turn up on a signal you do not have.
  • Group van: if five or six of you go, a private driver for the night beats several taxis. Agree the pickup time and place.
  • Your own vehicle: a 4x4 is the minimum for the unpaved roads in green season, and a rental quad is a bad idea at 4am. Riding or driving after drinking is how these nights go wrong. The getting around without a car guide covers your options.
  • Bimba shared e-bikes are fine for an early dinner and not for a hill road after a rave.

Safety

These are private events on private land, so nobody but you is responsible for your plan. Sensible rules:

  • Share the pin, the promoter name and your return plan with a friend not at the party.
  • Keep your drink in sight, and leave with the people you came with.
  • Carry your passport copy, cash in small bills and a charged phone. Phone signal in the hills can be weak.
  • Wear closed shoes. The ground is uneven, there are roots, and nobody is checking footwear.
  • Drugs are illegal in Costa Rica, and a private party gives you no protection from that.
  • For emergencies call 911. The lifeguard line +506 2640-0911 only covers beaches by day.

Read the safety guide before you go out solo.

Season

December to April is when most of these events happen. Between September and November expect few or none, with the occasional full moon booking. The next full moons are on 25 October (Sunday), 24 November (Tuesday) and 23 December (Wednesday) in Costa Rica time, and promoters often shift the party to the nearest Friday or Saturday. The events calendar lists every date through 2027.

The alcohol-free version: ecstatic dance

If the idea is movement without a hangover, there is a quieter circuit. Al Deck at Zeneidas Garden lists weekly kirtan, new and full moon cacao ceremonies and ecstatic dances on its wellness page, with the daily schedule on its Instagram. The facilitator Feeling Pura Vida runs cacao and ecstatic dance sessions of two to two and a half hours in different Santa Teresa locations, alcohol-free, with the time and place confirmed about a week ahead. The breathwork and cacao guide covers the options.

FAQ

What is a jungle party in Santa Teresa?

It is a ticketed open-air electronic night held on private land in the hills, usually about 45 minutes from town. Jungle Productions and Wonderland are the two promoters most often named. The address is shared with ticket holders shortly before the date.

How much do jungle party tickets cost?

Jungle Productions' early 2026 events sold general entry from $28 at the first tier to $55.50 on the day, with $22.50 for Costa Rican ID holders and $77.50 for backstage VIP. Special nights such as New Year's Eve run about $44.50 early and $55.50 general. Prices rise as tiers sell out.

What time do jungle parties start and finish?

Doors open around 11pm and the music runs until about 5 or 6am. The listed full moon on 31 January 2026 ran from 11pm to 6am. Arriving before midnight gets you the quieter first hours and an easier parking spot.

How do I get home from a jungle party?

Arrange it before you buy. Ask the promoter whether a shuttle runs, book a taxi for the return or share a private driver with friends. Uber and Bolt do not operate in Santa Teresa, and you should not drive or ride a quad after drinking.

Are jungle parties safe?

They are private events without the oversight of a licensed venue, so the safety plan is yours. Buy only through official channels, tell someone where you are, keep your drink in sight and have a confirmed ride home. Solo travellers are better off in a group.

Is there a jungle party every week?

No. Events cluster around full moons, holidays and weekends in the December to April season, roughly two to four a month. In the green season there may be none for weeks, and the weekly options are at Ranchos Itaúna, Somos and Tikiliano.
